Get covered

Cargo cover that knows what a tarp is for.

Bulk Insurance Group writes trucking insurance for open deck carriers — auto liability, physical damage, and motor truck cargo shopped across more than fifty markets by an agency inside the same family as this board.

Securement failures, tarp damage and oversize exposure are underwritten by people who sell to open deck carriers every day.

Sibling company in the BulkLoads family. Its own application, approval and terms. Signing up happens on their site.

What it does

Bulk Insurance Group, in short.

Trucking insurance shopped across 50+ markets.

Auto liability

The coverage the authority requires, written for fleets from one truck to a yard full.

Physical damage

Weather, animals, and the other driver. Cover on the tractor and the trailer you own.

Motor truck cargo

A coil of steel and a load of lumber are not the same risk. Limits and terms are set against what you actually strap down.

Non-trucking liability

Bobtail cover for the miles you run when you are not under dispatch.

General liability

The rest of the business — the yard, the shop, and the people in it.

One team, whole account

Every line quoted together by one agency, so nothing falls between two agents at renewal.

Open deck is underwritten differently

Cargo on a flatbed is exposed in a way van freight never is. It can shift, it can be struck, it can be rained on, and the securement holding it down is the carrier's work rather than a set of doors. Underwriters price that, and an agent who has only ever placed dry van accounts tends to price it badly — either by loading the premium against a risk they do not understand, or by writing cargo limits that will not answer the claim.

Bulk Insurance Group publishes the equipment it covers by name: flatbed, step deck, removable gooseneck, double drop, lowboy, Conestoga and hotshot. The freight list is the open deck list — steel and metals, machinery and equipment, lumber and building materials, oversize and heavy haul, coils and pipe.

Why it matters that it is the same family

The agency sits inside the same company that runs this load board, and says so on its own flatbed page — it insures open deck carriers alongside FlatLoads. That means the person quoting your account has a working picture of the freight on the board, and the conversation starts past the part where you explain what an RGN is.

It also means one phone number. Sales, support, insurance and the board are all reachable on 1-800-518-9240 in Springfield, Missouri.

What a quote actually takes

The quote calculator is eight short questions — how many trucks you run, what you haul, what you are paying now — and it tells you how likely they are to beat your current policy before anybody calls you. It is free and there is no obligation attached to it.

Quoting, binding, and servicing the policy are handled by Bulk Insurance Group. FlatLoads is not an insurance agency and does not place coverage.
