Read this part before you buy it
Bulk Insights prices bulk commodities. Grain, feed, fertilizer, aggregate — the freight that rides in a hopper or an end dump. It does not price steel coil out of Gary, machinery out of Peoria, or lumber out of the Pacific Northwest.
So it is genuinely useful to a carrier who runs both decks, and to anybody weighing whether a hopper is worth buying. If you pull a flatbed and nothing else, the honest answer is that this product is not aimed at you yet, and we would rather say so here than sell you a subscription you will cancel.
Why settled invoices are a different thing
Most published rate data is survey data — a sample of what carriers and brokers report, filtered through what people are willing to admit. Settled invoice data is the amount that moved between two bank accounts after the load delivered.
The gap between those two numbers is not small, and it is not random: it tends to widen exactly when the market is moving, which is when you most need the figure to be right.
FlatLoads does not publish rates
You will not find a rate tool on this site, and that is deliberate rather than an omission. Open deck rate data good enough to price a load against does not exist in this family yet, and a rate page built on thin data is worse than no rate page — people quote against it.
When there is open deck data worth standing behind, it will appear here. Until then, the market data in the family is bulk, and this page says which is which.
