Timpte with factory sight windows...

Shippers refusing to load these trailers?  How common is that?  ANPRO will not load any trailer with sight windows and no one says anything until you show up.

Anyone else run into this issue?  Broker says not our problem, we can't list everything that is not allowed by a shipper.  They were more worried about finding another truck to haul the load than the spot they put us in.

Shipper had already started loading the trailer when they noticed the sight windows...

Ratecons should clearly state if things like an EPA tarp or Sight windows are not allowed.

What was the product? Have you hauled the same product in the past with the sight windows? I'm curious as I have the Timpte sight windows as well.

Oh wow, I've never even heard of this issue, I've got windows on all my new trailers, never been an issue, but I can see why some shippers may see it as an issue, sure makes me wonder about putting windows in my next hopper. Why do they not like the windows? Do they think it's less secure? Did they give a reason?

Sight windows , why ? Stupid crap. Of no use that I can think of any way. But not loading them , why ? Makes no sense. My suggestion, just cover them up or paint over them.

In the 3 years I have had that trailer, I have never had an issue. Apparently sight windows are uncommon and no one has them so the broker told me there is no way they can listed the 5 pages of things a shipper/receiver has on their prohibited list.

Incidentally, this the about the 4th time this year alone that I have had a problem load with the same broker and they refused to pay a TONU or for any loss, even if the load was cancelled late on a friday after it had been booked a week ahead and the driver was in position.

Come to think of it, This particular broker is the only broker I use that I automatically assume the load is going to have some sort of issue.

Never had an issue with this trailer before. Sight windows are factory installed, the trailer is only 3 years old.
