Hey Y,all,
I am looking for a company that can move Sodium Bicarb from Natural Soda in Rifle Colorado to Reedley, CA. We would need one load a day monday through friday on a regular basis. Needs to be in a belt trailer or a walking floor that doesn't leak. There may also be some buiness going to locations in Arizona if you are able to handle the extra work. Send me a message at [email protected] |

I know brokers take, sometimes, an unfair beating on this forum, but your not providing any information that would lead me to believe that your a legitimate brokerage. Also of importance is the fact that any idiot can go direct with this shipper. Lastly this is one of the worst places on the planet to get to and load.
Good luck. Art Pfluger |

Also listing these loads as Rifle is kind of like listing a load that loads in New York but really loads in Chicago.

I loaded there at least once a week for years as the carrier I hauled for handled much of their business. The rates used to account for the extra miles and inconvenience unloading the product. Then, slowly but surely one broker/carrier after another came in, slowly lowering the rates over time. Now I have to laugh as people offer loads for 75% of what they used to pay and tell me what a good rate it is!

They’ve always had some of the mega carriers on the van side but I’ve always dealt on the bulk side. I won’t name names but there are some in dry bulk that are their own version of mega carrier and they all thought they’d found a golden goose not accounting for the fact that you deadhead a minimum of 200 miles to load there in most cases, the product is unpleasant, etc. etc. It actually was after the rates went down some that the wait times got bad because they were selling more product than they could produce, and of course wouldn’t admit to consignees that it was production issues causing shipment delays. Now there’s lots of brokers, some 2nd and 3rd hand, really proud of a rate generally between 2 and 2.50, and they’re so desperate for trucks they had to figure out a way to load trucks without EPA tarps so they could tap into less specialized carriers. Oh shoot! How’d I get on this soapbox?
