Lane rates

Exactly... tell me about it.. I'm so sick of seeing what's going on.. then there's the brokers that think $2.00 a mile is all we need and it's good enough.. it's sad and anybody that thinks some of the low balled rates are good then they seriously need to go to church and run to the altar for prayer..

There is a shortage of trucks and drivers , so hold out for better rates per mile.

What do you need for context? Brokers are bidding to their customers 1.50/loaded mile on their lanes. I'm sorry but it costs more to run a truck than 1.50/ loaded or even running mile! There is nothing ambiguous about the statement! Carriers with rolling stock need to make a living. If the companies with rolling stock can not make a living then the broker, with all of his infinite wisdom, bidding 1.50/loaded mile can not get his loads moved and he is out of business also.

That is the best way I can put it into context! It all comes down to the carriers and drivers getting the job done in a safe and timely manner that makes you brokers look good! With that said, why don't you put yourselve in our shoes and hold your ground for higher rates? I'm not talking about all brokers, there are some really good brokers but there are some really bad ones too!
