What are the pros and cons on a walking floor versus belt? Can you haul fine product in a floor or will it run through the slats as you unload? What about maintenance on a walking floor? Thanks

I haul wheat midds, sbm, wheat ?, corn? Distillers in my wilkens floor. I have the grain chute to hang on the rear of the trailer and haven't had any issues at many different places.

What about dumping heavy dense product such as ag lime in it ? I'm used to a belt so not sure how i would get along with a floor .

With a walking floor, you can also haul van freight, hay, mulch, cotton

Walking floors are lighter, cheaper, and more capacity and as mentioned, you can backhaul freight in them too.

Belts are a lot faster unloading, wider variety of commoddities, and cheaper to maintain.

I hauled lime and similar products in my floor already. Didn't seem to have any adverse effects. Did stone one time won't ever do that again. As far as being cheaper than a belt to maintain that seems like a biased opinion.
