I just went through this when I added triple axle trailers. I asked many different fleets what their thoughts were and it seemed to be a ford/chevy case/john deere thing. Or they had one bad experiance with a brand and will not go back. Seems that it primarily comes down to dealer support and geoipraphic region. In my case it was cost and lead time. |

Wilson trailers seem to be a little bit better built structurally. Great dealer in Columbia MO and plenty of other locations in the Midwest. We have both. I think the timpte is built to be a little bit lighter but it is pretty negligible. Timptes parts seem to be a lot higher than Wilson’s. Only thing on a Wilson my guys don’t like is if it is a strap trap trailer they are a little bit harder to clean the trap off when you unload. Have to have an air wand to do a good job where the timpte can just broom it off no problem. What kind of specs on a trailer are you looking for?

I've owned both. They both make nice trailers. They'll build a trailer the way you want it. Most importantly, know how you want a new trailer specced out. If you don't know what specs you want in a new trailer, buy a used one first.
