I was curious what everyone was having the best luck doing to find and hire drivers? I know that's one of the biggest challenges in trucking. |

Yes, hiring drivers is definitely one of the hardest parts of trucking. What’s been working for us is being very clear upfront about the position, pay, schedule, equipment, and expectations before moving too far in the process. I also try to screen early for MVR, experience, location, and whether they’re truly looking for the type of work we offer. Referrals help a lot too because good drivers usually know other good drivers. But honestly, consistency is key, posting often, following up quickly, and not wasting time with candidates who don’t match what you need. Sincerely Mrs.Erica www.bonnieandclydetrucking.com |

I've been trying for 9 months to hire for a regional/sometimes home nightly postion in a nice truck oulling tanker. But everyone seems to want 125,000/yr take home and to never be gone over night. I might stire the pot on this one, but the gov needs to take away and reduce unemployment benifits. Max 2 months for individuals without dependents, 4 months with dependents. And a person should have to prove all the bills they need covered and the benfits should not exceed their neccesary bills, lights water and rent. Cell phones tvs and streaming services are luxuries enjoyed by people with a job, not welfare reciepients. We would all have drivers banging on our doors then. |
