Do Belt Tailers Need Washouts?

I know this may sound silly to some of you. I've only ran food grade before and and they needed washouts. Just curious.

Here in Lancaster PA. you can't even use a belt trailer to haul corn to the feed mills because of concerns about bird flu.

I have heard there are concerns in some applications that you can't get the chains, flaps etc. clean enough.

And I meant to say food grade tankers. My bad for any confusion I may have caused.

Yeah I was thinking that. The next option is end dumps and those things are prone to catastrophic disasters of tipping over.
