Weird occurrence Part 2

I was signing up with a new broker and just got an email stating that they don't work with brokers or companies attached to brokers. I don't know this company and had never heard of them or moved a load for them. I wonder if this has something to do with the girl that took a picture of my decal? Last week I sold a trailer that I never use and someone had stolen my license plate. I hadn't checked on the trailer since September or October. Does anyone know where to start? I don't want to call the company directly yet and I don't know where to begin. I called OOIDA and they don't see the affiliation and our DOT numbers are close either.

It most likely had something to do with the person who took the picture of your truck. They got everything off the side of the truckk to do a Safer Company Snapshot, and use your numbers.

I disagree - his safer clearly shows TX Intrastate - no mention of anything broker related. In my opinion it's more likely that the broker typed in the wrong DOT Number. I do it all the time during setups, but I always make sure to repeat the company name and city on the phone for exactly that reason.

For the original poster you might want to reach back out to that broker and explain that you aren't a broker and only have a TX Intrastate - that might also be what's throwing him off as it's not the norm. Definitely ask the broker what he's seeing before we jump to any conclusions.
