So I am new to this flatbed business, was asked to qoute Houston to Kerrville, Tx, 78028 , flatbed with tarp, 48,000 lb Someone help me with how to qoute so that I can know how

Not enough information. But you need to figure out what it's going to take and what your time is worth. How long will you sit how far will you need to go to get the next load. What kind of liability do you have. My initial bottom dollar thought is $900 if you can load and unload the same day and get into position to reload.

Cement bags are cheap. Probably will not get on average but $700. If they are in a bind maybe $900. Different times of the year, the rates change unless your under a contract. You may have to do a little less in the summer to get a little more in the winter, under a contract.

Here is a idea for you to try, call some brokers up and tell them your a shipper looking for a price quote on that run, and see what they tell you when they think you are a shipper.
