I'm curious on the details of your cummins failing injectors from fueling up at a certain place. Im not defending the big chain stops because i don't use them much. Mostly just curiosity. Back when I was in tech school for diesel , we did testing on fuel quality from a few different places. there were measurable differences in fuel. but it was just btu's and the point it would gel from what I remember . Its enough to cause fuel mileage differences , but at that time we didn't see anything that would cause failure.

Do you have a water separator on your filter? the filter should stop dirt, water can cause problems. About10 years ago some sterling trucks had a problem with the stand pipe being directly under the fill cap on the tank...if the tank was really low, the incoming fuel would splash the standing fuel away from the stand pipe and suck air for a few seconds, that would throw a check engine light.

Good luck with the problem

I had a 99 century with a n14 460 motor turn up to 500 they had to fuel separator ahead the two different fuel filters and I never had no problem with nowhere else ta was in Gallup New Mexico and another one in Pennsylvania and another one in Georgia how do I end up having to eight injectors blow on me over 3 years. Only after using TA fuel

I've never heard of an injector blowing up before. Even on a common rail engine with 24000psi fuel ive never heard of that. Im not arguing that they might have had shitty fuel, again, my curiosity as a former mechanic is just wondering what could have gotten past a filter or water seperator to cause an injector failure. Was it the fuel side of the injector, or coil side? Lack of lubrication over time can cause failure, again, not trying to argue, im just wondering .

Literally most fuel any brand comes off same pipeline system with few exceptions. Yes, it can have additives or be treated or lack of treatment. I would believe the fuel tanks are checked for water ie: leaks.

I have over 1 million miles on a Caterpillar and never had injector problems. My secret was Howes MEANER Cleaner. Its 19.99 at Loves but only 11.88 at Wal-Mart. I'm now using it in my Detroits and so far no problems 300 500 and 600 thousand miles. I use it every other fill up.

All mechanics agree you should run something for lubrication. I had a mechanic recommend atf. I have used atf some and it helps. Another mechanic told me to run 1 gallon of atf to 500 of fuel.

I put lucas fuel treatment in my steiger tractors..I swear they burn a gallon an hour less...

Guess that’s why you shouldn’t swear

Only had trouble with the loves on I20 in Louisiana, water in the fuel, caused major filter issues

Careful with Schaefer's fuel treatment in the handy little metal can. Just on thurs I was filling up and had my gloves on and it slipped and the whole shebang is still in the tank. I think the metal can is cleaning the tank better than the treatment is. I have a weekend project to get it out with those long extendable magnets.

If you just have a magnet but not be extendable kind you could just try some string to it and run as much fuel out of the truck as you can and try to use the string to get the can out of there

Sounds like your getting air in your lines. Air will blow out injectors real fast! Check for fuel lines sucking air or a fuel leak. An old truck like that will probably be a bad or collapsed fuel line. Put a little air Pressure in fuel tanks and check for leaks. Then put an airdog or fass fuel conditioner on it.

Couple years back we took a deal to fuel exclusely at Loves. Almost immediately started injector pump troubles on Mack engines. EUP were constantly failing.

Stopped using Loves and the problem went away. The fuel looked good and had no water
