Trying to stay away from broker's as much as possible, what companies can you haul directly for?Any leads would be greatly appreciated. I have 1 hopper and 1 end dump, thank you.

You could try POET, or Andersons Grain. I'm sure there are more out there, but those are a couple examples. I don't mind working with a broker if they are willing to work towards a mutually beneficial relationship. Some shippers refuse to work with small trucking companies, and will require a freight broker. Good luck!

Thank you Mr Barone for the information. I am about 50 to 60 miles south of Atlanta.

I've always had good luck with Superior Feed. Based out of MN but they have offices in the Southeast. They post on this board as well.

I wouldn't worry too much about trying to stay away from brokers, as long as you get your price, it doesn't really matter who gives you the load. Like others have said, large shippers would rather give 25 loads to a broker than deal with 25 different 1 truck operations. There are some good brokers out there. Find a couple and use them to supplement your direct shippers. Good Luck!

For your area, try Scoular if you are trying to stay close to your home. Agristar is another that you may try.

We only have 1 truck. About 2 yrs ago, I had a shipper tell me they'll only deal with compaines with at least 10 trucks. I can't remember who that was...

I really don't care who the loads are from as long as the money is right and I get paid in a timely manner.

Call Marlene Doar at Rocky Wells. You will not find a more fair broker than her! She can keep you busy in that area I bet!

Several shippers send out their own load list and they do not use brokers. Mid-South Milling sends out a load list for some of their locations. Mid South isn't terrible in general. The only people I've ever dealt with that weren't "nice" was the Memphis location. They weren't rude, they were just really indifferent and short.

BTW, not sure if JBS has their own email load list, but avoid their Hyrum, UT location (the old Miller Bros plant).

Please feel free to holler at us over at PT Brokers sometime. We have stuff moving in that area usually and many other areas as well. Always happy to help with whatever we can! Safe travels my friend!

I was waiting for someone to mention Mid South Milling... There is a pretty long thread on them here on Bulkloads. Click the forum tab and enter mid south milling in the search box. Enjoy😉

I think it's hit or miss with those guys. I've talked to several drivers who really dislike them. But I only have one location I dislike going to. I never really had an issue. I loved the Covid stuff, because KC wouldn't let drivers out of the truck and they unloaded and swept out. Sorry, didn't mean to hijack your thread by being OT.
