Belt trailers

I haven't pulled anything else but this red river for a belt but I have seen alot of them when hauling seed corn. I like trinity and Wilson's. Alot of the trailers I see dont have the secondary door (what i call the grain door) on them. Do they all come with he hopper chute or is that only on the ones that have that second door. Mine is a spud trailer and the back lower half of the door flips up and makes a small tunnel effect for the possibility to dump in a pit (works very well) for grain. I hope to get alot of comments and opinions about belt trailers. I know they are heavy and a dump or hopper would be lighter but im not looking for a dump or hopper. Im looking to upgrade what I have. Thanks ahead of time and hope everyone has a blessed day.

Alot of westerns in our area, don't know what they would do for you on doors, I've only seen side swing and top hinge doors from them with a knife gate. we have been pulling new wilson spreads and have real good luck, heavily built and cosmetically sound. they can pretty much make whatever door you want. Trinty makes a great one as well, and they can make whatever cube, door combo you want as well. Make sure you have steep slopes if you hauling feed. I would stay away from those off brands that are trying to make a push in the market.. They are kinda home made if you ask me, parts are hard to resource, and the retail is the same if not higher than the main guys. get a good pump 22+gpm@2500+psi and youll be happy.

Alot of westerns in our area, don't know what they would do for you on doors, I've only seen side swing and top hinge doors from them with a knife gate. we have been pulling new wilson spreads and have real good luck, heavily built and cosmetically sound. they can pretty much make whatever door you want. Trinty makes a great one as well, and they can make whatever cube, door combo you want as well. Make sure you have steep slopes if you hauling feed. I would stay away from those off brands that are trying to make a push in the market.. If you're buying a trailer to keep and your around corrosive conditions id get a stainless trinity. If you're worried about light weight western. Both have good support after you own. Some have sales people that I won't comment on. Pretty important people. You want to order new, you'll wait a long time for a western. Ttc out of Bakersfield builds a nice looking peice and they aren't well represented in numbers but, I wish I could order one new. Aulick is just to heavy for my purposes but very popular with short haul farmers, especially for silage. Before someone has a heartattack, this is JUST AN OPINION. Depends a ton on your priorities. I have a western belt now and have had trinity. If you're buying a trailer to keep and your around corrosive conditions id get a stainless trinity. If you're worried about light weight western. Both have good support after you own. Some have sales people that I won't comment on. Pretty important people. You want to order new, you'll wait a long time for a western.
