What you don’t understand is truckers only strike when they love their Job, and plan on sticking around to reap the benefits of the sacrifice, nowadays most start planning their exit strategy from this industry within a couple of months of becoming a trucker, hence the revolving door. What the shippers don’t realize is by starving the truckers, they have poisoned the well, the more they starve us, the more involved FMCSA becomes, and the less interested folks become in a career in trucking.

What you don’t understand is truckers only strike when they love their Job, and plan on sticking around to reap the benefits of the sacrifice, nowadays most start planning their exit strategy from this industry within a couple of months of becoming a trucker, hence the revolving door. What the shippers don’t realize is by starving the truckers, they have poisoned the well, the more they starve us, the more involved FMCSA becomes, and the less interested folks become in a career in trucking.

There is no reason to take loads to broker out so someone else can screw up your service record! I am sure I will be called part of the problem, but I know my and my companies worth and as long as we can make that number, we are going to keep driving!

If you are not making money, year round, then you either A have poor service to your customers or B don't know how to set your rates to be profitable! We have EXCELLENT service and I will say it again, get paid well to handle loads other's don't seem to get done! Also, we don't take on more than we can handle! The way I see this going the government will eventually be taking over transportation and agriculture, since the private sector seems to be refusing to change its ways, they seem to both be dependent on subsidies and PPP loans, and nobody shows any indication that they plan to change their ways.

Every other occupation that gets the attention of lawmakers have people in the room the rules are made. Lawyers make laws for lawyers. Doctors make the laws for doctors. Teachers make the laws for teachers. Well who makes the rules for truck drivers? The railroad industry and anyone else that considers us competition. We'll all be out of a job in 10 years or less. Because we aren't even a part of the conversation with the rules being made for self driving trucks. Because....you know...organizing for your benefit is evil. 🧐
