Make an offer on the load you are interested in. I haul for them when they can meet the rates. The guys over there are good to work with if you show them you are willing to get their loads covered. Been working with them for 12 years now and have never had a load that has not penciled out.

We've gotten some good rates from them in a past. Its been a while since we hauled for them.

Called on a Russellville to Leipsic OH load yesterday and Nick gave me the rate and it was $200 less than when I did that exact same load 2 wks ago. POS

I haul loads for them all the time, more than probably any other broker. I get $3-$4 a mile consistently.

My Husband hauls for Reliant and Issac treats him really good . Sometimes you gotta take the good with the bad . Hopefully rates will start going back up soon .

I work with Felix and he knows my bottom line and doesn't try to insult me with something he knows I won't take. He calls me almost daily to see if I need help with anything. I had a relationship like that with a broker from PT Brokers, but their rates aren't even in the ballpark anymore of what I need.

I think you can get good rates from brokers that you have a good relationship with. They know you aren't going to be a headache and they pay better for not having to babysit you.

But that's just my opinion.

I don't believe that this current market is soley because of brokers. I believe they had a hand in it, but trucks are just as much (if not more) to blame. We are our own worst enemy right now fighting over scraps. Doesn't help that we had a huge surge of truckers join the ag industry from their side of general freight; and the big companies are following suit. Soon there will be swift, navajo, j.b. hunt, etc trailers rolling down the road with us. They just need to break even for the first few years and wean us out, while they write off their new purchases. Our infighting allows them the camouflage needed for them to make their move.

Agreed. We are in the same boat with Justin. He calls a few times a week to see if he can help fill in the holes with stuff that we have going on.

Isaac is our go to guy at Reliant, I can't say anything negative about Reliant they have treated us very well.

You don't have to take the bad. It's not a hobby.

I received an email for a load available from reliant transportation, I called on the load, I received a phone call back from Keith saying load was available and would send load comfirmation over. 2 hrs later no load comfirmation, called back and was told they would send load info over for load time 2.00pm in russellville. Called back again...Keith denied all phone conversations to Jordan who explained to me they didn't have a load. While waiting for the 2.00pm....I received another email from bulkloads for the exact same load. Jordan was quick to remove it from bulkloads while on the phone with me, after i forwarded the email to him, then could not explain why i received that email and said he doesn't have that load available. Very unprofessional business to still treat drivers with no respect. Mr Miller if your team treats drivers like they are stupid, expect a response.

Just dropped a load today for Reliant. With my 150 mile bounce it paid 2.63/mile on ALL miles. That is how I figure every load. Is that great? Probably not, but you will not go broke at 2.63/mile on all miles! Thanks for the load David! It was great working with you!

As far as loads with poor rates, you are allowed to sa NO.

I hauled a couple loads of Malt Barley seed for Steve Miller at Reliant from the Coors elevator in Huntley, Mt to the Coors elevator in Worland. Figured out to 3.05 for all miles, empty one way. I hear alot of complaints about this broker and that broker on this forum. If the rate doesn't fit what you need, negotiate, and if they won't budge move on. If you haul the cheap freight your just adding nails to your coffin and giving them leverage to keep the low rate. Let them people that don't know what there costs are haul it...it'll only be a matter of time before they're gone. Have a great day!

Exactly We have been saying this for years it's only a matter of time, us Ag haulers need to stick together.

...and to arrive in russellville for a load appt time...and for Keith to deni both phone conversations with me and then for Jordan to get on the phone and explain they never had a load on this day in russellville or any loads available was crooked. I too did several loads for Larry before he quit reliant. Rate is not the issue this time, dishonesty and lying is. And if they can do this to me, only a matter of time before they do this to another driver.

I've done business with them for a couple years. They used to be great, but not any more. The president of the company Steve apparently stepped away and is doing something else. They used to be fabulous but not anymore I think they've had a lot of turnover and current Manager is a buffoon! Won't return calls, I've had former employees reach out to me I guess its kinda toxic with him in charge. They won't last in this market with that kind of management.

Here is how good they are $2.23 on loaded miles. To offer this is an insult to any trucker but we're the backbone of America 😆 🤣 😂
