Seems to me that that hopper freight rates will remain unchaged as some of the lowest paid freight of any other freight sector. If you try to say anything thing about getting fair rates you seem to just get demonized by all the drivers and trucking comanys hauling the freight. It appears the truckers are happy as hell having low ball rates thrown at them as the fight to get a desent rate is impossible to acheive. The people that are willing to haul hopper freight for starvation wages is just astonishing to me.

I'm seeing an increase personally but I guess it all does depend on your wagon and commodites. I hope you get some better freight soon!

These drivers that are happy with poverty wages are a lot like Bigfoot, nobody has ever met one face to face but you hear about them on the internet all the time, most likely it’s a shipper operating a MC number under a different name who’s primary goal is to drive rates down through propaganda, all you have to do is look at the turnover ratio of the trucking industry for proof, the Data don’t lie, how can this industry exceed 100% annually if drivers think pay is adequate?

Exactly, rather than raise the rates to keep your experienced drivers in the seat, the industry is pushing to let younger drivers run interstate. Great call, bring a boatload of new drivers into the mix who will take whatever they can get. Chew them up, spit them out, and take the next one in line. It's gonna be like bringing sheep to the slauter. Seems like a good reason to justify raising the insurance minimum at the same time. Unbelievable.🤬

Exactly, rather than raise the rates to keep your experienced drivers in the seat, the industry is pushing to let younger drivers run interstate. Great call, bring a boatload of new drivers into the mix who will take whatever they can get. Chew them up, spit them out, and take the next one in line. It's gonna be like bringing sheep to the slauter.

Seems like a good reason to justify raising the insurance minimum at the same time. Unbelievable.🤬

I tried bidding a lane the other day on a 1,450 mile trip. I went back and looked at the rates I hauled it for back in 2016 and 2017. I put in a bit 10/ton higher than what i hauled it for back then. The company flat out rejected it and showed me they were getting it hauled right now 10 loads a month for 10/ton less than i hauled it for back in 2016 and 2017. These are trucking companys doing this.

The industry is running out of others. Old guys won't be around forever. Politicians will keep destroying economy so younger people get desperate enough to get a cdl instead of typing on a computer at google. Then they can all get more wealthy off the backs of their new found generation of slaves

16 year olds will likely be otr soon. The industry is running out of others. Old guys won't be around forever.

We will drive by the junk freight to get the good loads. More paid miles is not necessarily best if you can get good pay to bounce! We've always ran based on running miles instead of loaded.

Our rates are up too. We will drive by the junk freight to get the good loads. More paid miles is not necessarily best if you can get good pay to bounce! We've always ran based on running miles instead of loaded.
