Need Authority to run under

My current carrier is doing odd things like telling me brokers have not paid up. Problem is I have the proof that the money went right into carriers bank account by payment service. Dishonesty is nothing I can put up with. They have had me hung up with no loads for two weeks and cost me thousands in fuel and lost loads. I think they don't want to do the paperwork. This all started when I started getting loads from board and using different brokers every day or so.

If you're finding your own loads anyway almost, it's not any more work and you don't have to give up ten percent. Factor with smart freight and you don't have to wait for the money and it only costs you five percent. Thirty days and you are legal. If you're just hauling grain go exempt and it's painless.

Yup, smartest thing I ever did was get my own authority. CarrierNet out of Sioux Falls only charges 3%

Yup, smartest thing I ever did was get my own authority. CarrierNet out of Sioux Falls only charges 3%

You should contact Mark at trucking Answers over on YouTube because he discussed this very scenario recently regarding AB-5, he said that he would like to see a leased operator try to book his own loads, just so he could study the carrier’s reaction.

By large you are correct, but not every company is like that. All my O/Os tell me what they want and that's what I work for. We look as it as though we work for them NOT that they work for us. They are out there.
