Looking for suggestions on Missouri Truck School to attend to get CDL

That is the way I got my first license to drive over the road. Learned from one of the local guys on an International Transtar with a 318 Detroit and a 2 stick manual transmission. The guy that taught me said I should learn on the easiest transmission there was. I think he was kidding! Once you got the hang of it tho, it was easy to shift, just totally under powered, but for flatland running it worked for what we did. I would doubt that today a person could go that route due to insurance equirements. Most carriers and insurance companies require verifiable background info.

Just tell your guy to load up on sweatpants and flip flops and say goodbye to his family for a year and send him to recruitment at any major trucking company ( you pick the name ) and then in a year he can come back with the coveted cdl and live happily ever after

Every state and cop want to stick their hand in your pocket. I retired after 47 years( forced out - health ) and was more than ready to walk away. Finally got it thru my thick head after 3 failed marriages and not seeing my boys grow up was enough.
