Here is a post on the number of violations issued to bulk commodity haulers so far in 2022. It is broken out by state so you can see which states are more aggressive and what part of the FMCSA BASICs they are likely to enforce.

That's a good questions. It looks like DOT enforcement comes in cycles. It looks like it builds up and then peaks and falls sharply for a few months before it builds back up again. I am attaching a pic of the violation data for bulk haulers over the last 2 years so you can see the trends more clearly. We are not sure why this happens but it does look like a pattern forms.

Its probably from the saftey blitzes

That is what we originally thought too but the peaks last for 3 months before dropping off and a safety blitz is usually for a weekend or so.
