The guy I talked to at ADM about it said it was very unlikely unless the Railroad shuts down, and would mainly be northbound freight

I think...He wishes, sounds like someone hoping he can keep the rates down.. I say NOPE..Don't they tell us supply and demand? If the rail strikes, they will be totally screwed, just like every other shipper.

That's what I thought too.....like how can they let everything sit on a barge while waiting for a empty rail car....but what do I know I'm just a dumb truck driver....guess I'll just have to go yank a tank while their $1.95 a mile fertilizer sits in Inola waiting for a train to deliver it.

They told us they would just put the product on a train. What happens when the rail unions strike on the 19th?

That's why I even asked in the first place, i asked way back after the first "railroad strike" was going to happen. ....my thinking was, even with the trains running theres no way the trains can catch up the backlogged barges......but again I'm just a dumb truck driver. I'm headed to Texas to yank a tank for the winter. Guess it's their problem now...

Don’t count on a railroad strike, congress will intervene because it’s owned by the rail road. Democrats in power more freight moved by rail. Republicans in Power more freight moved by truck.

But trucker Joe Campaigned on rebuilding unions, he wouldn’t throw them under the bus.... Would he?
