Radiator hoses bursting

Oct 13, 2017 at 04:44 PM CST
I was wondering if anyone else has had issues with radiator hoses bursting a lot. I have replaced 4-5 hoses over the last 4 months. Replaced the bad ones with ones the manufacturer calls for. Just can't figure it out, and was curious if anyone else has had similar problems or know what could be causing them to fail so frequently

A broken or missing motor mount ? Bushings missing or wore out on radiator brace arms ? Just a thought !

I was having same trouble last month... We were creating pressure in coolant system... Bad head was the result... Was pushing a bit of antifreeze out over flow too...

Most of time if you are busting a lot of radiator you are getting diesel in water which would be an injector cup failure. Could be more than I would change all if one is bad. It could be head or head gasket. But in my experience that just pushes water out overflow or exhaust. Are you loosing water in cooling system? Even if it’s coming out over flow and when you check it, it’s full then that would most likely be injector cup issue(could be orings on injector cups on cups themselves). They are not that expensive if you pull them I would just replace with new cups and orings.

Check the thermostat, it might not be opening and closing properly, or could’ve seized

I know the C-13 Cats had problems with the head gaskets on the air compressor going bad and bursting the hoses or the radaitor. Bout wore our wrecker out towing them to the shop.
