I'm looking for a dedicated run. The longer the run the better. Don t care where as long it's a good rate over $2.25 for all miles. I live in cental Illinois. Will not work for penny's. Can do that running local and sleep in my on bed all day long. Must be played within 14 days. Will not play the game of waiting to get paid. Only serious folks need to reply. Tired of the games and b.s. who has the nerve to be serious and reply?

I don't think I'm in the wrong business. Been in the business for over 20yrs. I'm just someone who is tired of working for penny's and watch someone else making the profit. If that's something some of you are willing to do that's on you. Maybe some of you should get out of this business and become brokers instead of being a trucking company. Why is it so hard for all of us to come together and stop working for penny's and start working for profits.

I am a broker and the problem is that you can't please every truck driver. I will call 20 drivers for the same lane using the same type of truck. The first driver wants $3/mile, the second wants $2/mile, the third wants $1.85/mile and lastly you get the insulting driver who wants $6/mile. The one that ask for $1.85/mile and $6/mile are the ones to blame.

What are you talking about? Who says anyone has to work for penny's? I'm just stating that truck drivers are the ones who dictate the amount they get paid. So instead of blaming everyone else, go teach all the truck drivers not to haul cheap loads and the problem will get solved.

All my drivers are loyal to me because I do pay them what they are worth.

Also, back to my first response. You didn't state what kind of truck you owned.

Let me say this. I don't and won't work for penny's. I'm just saying there is a lot of folks in this industry that expect us to. I'm not here to argue and go back and forth. But what I knew would happen on this post did happen. What is that you ask one person putting another person down. To insult them to even be little them. This is what's wrong with this industry. We would rather rip into each other then stand up for each other and get the rates where they belong. But instead there are so many in this profession cutting rates just to have it. So in all who is it to blame for us not making the money we all deserve. Is it he government with all the rules and regulations that we put the blame on or is it our own faults ourselves. So far being against each other hasn't worked. How about working together to make it better for once. Btw know one would care about the ELD's if the rates were where they should be. Just saying. Also if you are going call me out at least spell my name right.

You need to read your post before you reply you can't be tired of working for penny's then say never worked for penny's. you missed the whole point it was not how much you were making it was your attitude in your first post to start with and if you have been trucking that long why are you on here trying to find work? read what you wrote and be honest would you give anyone helpful info with that attitude?

Oh my sorry. I guess when I said working for pennies, you actually thought I was working for pennies. I consider anything under $2.00 a mile working for pennies. I consider anything you haul and there is very little profit after fuel and paying a driver called working for pennies. Thank you so much for calling me out on that. Have a wonderful day.

lol that's amazing after all that back and forth you still didn't get it . It's not about how much you are making you wrote you wanted someone to call you give you info on work and ask who had the nerve then you said what you would not do and what you would accept. you said you've been in business for twenty years I'm glad for you but when you read you first post would you call that person with info?

Van Hock, maybe it's not content of what your asking, but the way your initial post was worded begged for a similar hostile response.

Its embarrassing with all the back and forth on the subject. You guys know what the man is trying to say... we all feel it.. So theres no need in always back and forth about it. Ive been in the business 20 years as broker and asset owner and yes,, he has some validity in wanting the drivers to cometogether in union for stronger more reliable rates..
