does anyone have any experience pulling these type of trailers? How much can you haul compared to a traditional hopper? How well do they work setting up the side kit? Will some places not load these types of trailers? See attached photo to see what trailer I'm talking about.

Only ever seen a few of them. Used to go to a feed mill in Oklahoma that they would bring corn down to unload and load steel out of Tulsa then for their reload. Appeared to be a pain in the butt. Especially to unload . There was a lot of shoveling involved.

I would like to know also. I spoke to a guy in Florida that had one by Western. He told me he was able to move the truck using the sidekit in some bad areas for
flat freight. I do see those Idaho guys using them. Arlo G. Lott and Doug Andrus. Not sure I would load any rolling stock on one.

I have a flatbed with grain side kit. Easy running local if the grain is going to the one mill that will unload it and steel is busy. Hard to know where they can unload. And alot of places dont understand what you are talking about when you tell them the type of trailor you have.
