Crossing the Canadian border with a truck question.

Have not crossed the border with our trucks. Aside from IRP, are there any other things I need to make sure to do, or not do, or permits or anything to have to run into Canada?

you need passport And barccode best to find agent to get proper paperwork no felonies or dwi if you arrive at border without proper paperwork you could be denied crossing

Livingston International is who I use. they are good and can get last minute things pushed through quickly.

also, you will need a SCAC code. apply online and have it the same or next day.

Will he also need a Canadian Code? ( Canuck version of SCAC )

You will need:
SCAC CODE - Standard Carrier Alpha Code - identifies your company - secure.nmfta.org.Welcome.aspx (application and renewal site) for both u.s. and canada
PARS NUMBERS - bar coded consecutive numbers used to identify and announce your shipment u.s. to canada
PAPS NUMBERS - Same as above but for canada to u.s.
ACE/ACI - identifies and announces your tractor, trailer and your shipment for pre clearance - https://www.emanifest.ca (canada) - https://www.emanifest.ca/aci - application website for u.s. to canada
A valid passport

Also a drunk driving is a felony in Canada..EVER..if you have any other felonies or some misdemeanors..you will be turned around and sent back to the US..and questions if you have any of those contact the local consulate before you leave home...all others is pretty well covered by Nancy..ohhh and leave your gun and animal at home.. if this is going to be a constant thing going into Canada.. you can get a fast pass card that clears you for a speedier crossing...

no bear spray either, if you are afraid of the bears, stay in your truck... :)

Haha well my 9 mm eliminates fear of bears, but if I can't bring that...I guess my crank for the hopper doors will give the bear a headache while he chews on me

we just spent 750 and a month later we have Canadian authority...lots of special stickers showed up for BOL,S and a bunch of special border crossing instructions in an e mail I haven't read yet I can give you the contact info of the guy who helped us if your interested text 435 214 9077

Maybe you can't carry your handle either. better check lol maybe hit him with your e log that's bound to scare anyone off .
