Now how many of you truckers out here, wonder what these loads would pay through a broker? Would the broker take 10%, and pay you $3.60 a mile? Or would you more than likely see a rate like $1.15 per mile? We hear truckers complain all the time, how hopper freight don't pay anything, and they will often times call some of us a liar, when we tell them that the broker is not telling them the truth.............Well here you go, you now have a shipper telling you that they are paying $4.00@ mile, plus detention time, to the truck. Here's your proof.

Those loads are not that great. Plan on spending hours at the loading facility. Wait time is joke,(4-14 hrs),load time(2hrs). It's just not worth it.

Did demurrage time go up? Or are you figuring the time to complete load?

You need to experience that load. That is still not enough for the headaches involved.

I have hauled for these folks in the past, never had a problem, but maybe I just hit it at the right time? There are decent rates out here, but every now and then there are inconveniences that go along with it. Insulting the shipper will do nothing to help you negotiate a fair rate.

Hey Dave

Gavilon is a shipper???? Or Broker????

When I lost my good job , playing piano in whore house and
started hauling bulk, friend of mine told me Gavilon was the
absolute bottom of the pile. And he works for one of the bigger
Honest brokers , not H & S .

If you can make it work for you fine.

If I was to find myself in a situation where Gavilon had
the only freight in captivity I would call my friends at

H & S , who pay so fast that its a wonder they don’t hurt
them selfs writing the check out, to arrange for the load .

Fred & Tyler are much better at negotiating than
me for sure. With them you can sometimes add another
hand to the pie and still come out better.

Have a nice trip.
